This event was to commemorate all those from the Island of Ireland who served in the Royal Naval Division from 1914 until it passed into History in April 1919 ,having served in Belgium, Gallipoli, and France. The following took part in the Ceremony.
We formed up in Detachments and marched on,The Irish Naval Ass Carrying our Colours and the other Detachments carrying their Standards.
There was Tea / and Coffee laid on in the Garda Boat Club Club across the River. We had a very large attendance from the Irish Naval Association with all our Branches taking part from Dublin,Waterford ,Cork and Limerick. Well done to our members who were up early and traveled long distance to be there. A special word of thanks to Neil O Donnell who carried our Colours. Also thanks to Martin Kiely of our Limerick Branch, our Photographer for today.
