A brief report on our attendance at the Bastille Day celebrations.

Mike Hynes
National General Secretary

The Limerick Branch of the I N A was invited by the French Consul, Dr Loic Guyon, to attend a Bastille Day celebration, hosted by Limerick Civic Trust, at City Hall on Friday 10th July. This is held in conjunction with the annual Wild Geese Festival. We paraded our colours and were joined by representatives of the O.N.E., IUNVA, and the members of the 12th Battalion. Numbers were very limited and social distancing was strictly enforced. There was a good attendance of French associations and local politicians and dignitaries,

The Boherboy Brass Band provided some great music and the weather was excellent. After being 'locked down' for so long with the Covid pandemic, it was good to get out and meet some of our colleagues.
