Vice Admiral McAnally R.N. thanking Alan Ryan for the Irish Naval Association participation in the Parade to the Cenotaph

Report on my attendance to the Royal Naval Association Biennial Parade Sunday 8th September 2019, in London. On Sunday the 8th of September 2019 I attended the Royal Naval Association Biennial Parade to the Cenotaph at Whitehall London. Alan Ryan of the Michael Quinn DSM Dublin Branch attended and carried the Irish Naval Association Colours. Seven members of the Limerick Branch attended including Mike Hynes our National General Secretary. The Parade formed up in King Charles Street and we were made very welcome by all present. The Parade moved off to march around the Cenotaph at Whitehall, with our Colours taking the place of Honour at the Cenotaph alongside the Belgium and WRNS. After the Service, the Parade moved off to pass the VIP Review Stand and moved to King Charles Street. The Parade was then address by Vice Admiral Mc Nally who thanked all who attended and thanked the members of the Irish naval Association for attending. He later stood in for some photos with the members of the Irish Naval Association. Members of the various Branches of the Royal Naval Association all express there thanks to us for attending. Tot’s of Rum was shared by all present and it was a very good event, to meet old shipmates.
