The Irish Naval Association (INA) were invited to a wreath Laying Ceremony at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday 10th September 2017 organized by the Royal Navy Association (RNA) to commemorate their falling comrades.
The INA was well represented at the Ceremony with members from Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Waterford and one of our overseas members Mr Liam Lyons who travelled from Leeds. In total 39 members attended some with their wife's. We traveled out from Dublin with Aer Lingus on Friday the 8/9/17 staying at the Britannia Hotel in Hampstead for the weekend. On Saturday we had a free day and our members made their own arrangements some going into London sightseeing with others making their way out to Greenwich Museum and others visitin the HMS Belfast.

My thanks for the very successful weekend must go to our National PRO Mr Terry Cummins who organized all our travel arrangements including transfer buses to and from the Airport, Hotel accommodation and a bus into the Parade on Sunday. A special word of thanks to Alan Ryan who carried our Colours and looked after them for the weekend and the other members who helped me with advice and help make the weekend a success.

Bryan Gildea.
President of the INA
